On May 1, 2023, the Writers Guild of America went on strike because we reached an inflection point in Hollywood.
On Monday, June 26th, inspired by collective action and the unity of so many workers in the industry, a group of Hollywood laborers ran the picket lines around ten studios throughout Los Angeles for a total of 26.2 miles to raise money for the Entertainment Community Fund.
The Film
At the peak of the 2023 Writer’s Guild strike, a television writer reflects on the isolation that can come with a Hollywood career. Seeking a means to reconnect with her community, she organizes a marathon weaving along the picket lines of ten studios through sprawling Los Angeles.
Our endurance will decide our fate.
